04/12/09 A pretty good week. 3 summit days out of the 6 we skied. 4/6/09 – Mount Bachelor, OR for our annual spring trip. Monday was pretty much a perfect spring day with blue sky, sun, and perfectly groomed snow that ended up just soft enough in the afternoon to justify swapping to fats. A trip down the south side (post 14) and westward on the trail of tears to the NW lift. TomK & Kerry
4/7/09 – Mt Bachelor – Another spring day with temps getting up into the 40’s let us really enjoy the whole mountain today. Summit chair was running, so we did a run down to Tot and post 4, then off to play in the NW area. Atkenson’s Zoom was pure zoom-time (Glad it was empty). TomK & Kerry
4/8/09 – Mt Bachelor – Windy, overcast, and foggy with snow showers made for the worst day of the week. We spent the whole day on the Eastern side and avoided the NW where the weather was coming in. TomK & Kerry
4/9/09 – Mt Bachelor – Back to broken clouds with still some snow showers. Not enough new on the ground to be worth talking about, but still had fun on the West Boundry trail as well as the usual Sunrise lift served runs. TomK & Kerry.
4/10/09 – Mt Bachelor – Scattered clouds and an open Summit chair. Ended up in the fog at the top, but quickly dropped below on the Healy’s runs where we skied on down to the east side of the closed-for-the-season Rainbow and played all the way down to the Sunrise lift. Six top to bottom non-stop runs on top of the other 7 was plenty to tire the legs out good. TomK & Kerry.
4/12/09 – Mt Bachelor – First chair, warm snow, easter eggs, and overcast then snain. Summit not open due to wind. All in all, not that good, so “Meh!” (still got 15 runs in anyway.) TomK & Kerry.
01/01/08 Fantastic, snowed a bunch. Skied 12/28, 12" new dry powder. Skied 12/30/07 total whiteout, snowing & blowing hard, should have stayed in bed, 17" more new. Back on 12/31/07 fantastic !!!! still lots of fresh pow, sunshine, no wind. What a fantastic day. Back again 1/1/08 a little overcast but still great still lots of untracked snow but getting wind packed. Bachelor has never disapointed !!!!!!!!!!!!!
