04/25/10 Festive last day with mostly sunny, warm, soft spring snow, and powder lines of varying consistency off the arm and hemispheres. No lift lines to speak of, but a good end-of-season crowd none the less. Glad we went. RB
02/19/09 2/17/09 – Tuesday at Mt. Baker. First chair! Weather was on the chill side with overcast skies . Groomed runs everywhere and we had a blast on the empty runs and let it all out and skied as fast as we could. TomK&Kerry
2/18/09 – Wednesday at Mt. Baker. First Chair! Weather was on the chill side with sunny blue skies. Groomed runs everywhere and we had a blast on the empty runs and let it all out and skied as fast as we could. TomK&Kerry
2/19/09 – Thursday at Mt. Baker. First Chair! Weather was on the chill side in the AM with overcast, then warm in the PM with sunny blues skies. Groomed runs everywhere and we had a blast on the empty runs and let it all out and skied as fast as we could, even down the Canyon. TomK&Kerry
04/26/08 Saw a posting last wknd on TGR about how epic baker was on the Shuksen arm ...which weighed heavily in my decision to drive the extra distance today. Totally worth it. Hiked shuksen arm hitting a nice drop 5 hike segments out the ridge into 6-10" old powder over a progressivly firmer underlayer. Some point releases in a few spots but only surface sluffing. Still many untracked lines there, and off hemispheres. Important tomorrow to have higher freezing level to keep the lower portions thawed otherwise it could get pretty nasty with frozen crud. Run under chair 6 (stikywicket) very soft crud with bumps forming. Run under chair 5 was getting softer by the end of the day with some amount of sun softening skier right aspects. Areas not getting sun are either old pow or chunky partially warmed pow that was tricky. They stopped serving beer at 5:15 due to a private party, so I left. Alpental tomorrow.

hurt,over did it a bit.

1/09/08 Skied the whole day in loose stuff on my fatties. 12"-16"
in most places, a few face shots in others where no one had skied for a couple days. Expecting 18"-2' by tomorrow morn. See you there. {Ski off Pan Dome}

A great day! Very light crowd, but you could tell
it was huge yesterday, lots of nice packed powder bumps left
overs today. Some filtered sun through breaks in the the c
louds. Temps cool but with good work out runs on Canuck's Delux,
North Face, Holiday Black Diamond cat track, Pan Face all off
Chair 6 and Diehls/Nose Dive off Chair 5. Skied none stop
from 9am till 2pm when my quads could not keep up with JD.
Some rocks in places, but easy to avoid, lots of little evergreens
and other brush sticking up every where. Great first day. 25k ddk
